August 2, 2010. My husband, a.k.a. “Honey,” overhead this exchange on a city bus.
Elderly man gets on the bus. Driver asks him how he’s doing.
“Still vertical,” says the senior.
“That beats horizontal,”replies the driver.
“At my age,” the elderly gent responds, “you stay horizontal too long, they start throwin’ dirt on ya.”
