Trips between Vancouver Island and the Mainland just got a whole lot more appealing with BC Ferries‘ revival of its CoastSaver special sailing rates for May 25 through June 25, 2012.
If you’re planning a trip within those dates — either between Victoria and Vancouver, or between Nanaimo and Vancouver — schedule your ferry rides for Friday through Monday for substantial savings.
The BC Ferries’ CoastSaver rates below are for one-way passage, Friday through Monday, May 25 to June 25, 2012.
- Adult fares, regularly $14.85, will be reduced to $9.95.
- Children aged 5 to 11 will pay $5 rather than the usual $7.45. Kids under 5 ride free.
- The charge for passenger vehicles up to 20 feet long, usually $49.25, will be $30.
- Motorcycle riders will pay $15 for their bikes rather than $24.65.
Again, these prices apply only to the following routes: Tsawwassen-Swartz Bay, Tsawwassen-Duke Point, and Horseshoe Bay-Departure Bay. Any applicable taxes and fees are extra.
